BJ has owned his Charger since 1972 and is a
seasoned veteran at US131 Motorsports Park.
The Charger is no gutted-out race car, but a fully
dressed 3,870 lb, 800hp machine.  BJ built the
493 cubic inch monster himself and topped it off
with some Indy SR heads, Crane roller rockers,
and a Braswell carb.  The power is transferred
through an 8-inch ATI converter to the 727
Torqueflite tranny.

In 1996, BJ won the points at US131 and
qualified for the bracket finals numerous times.
He was also featured in the Readers' Rides
section of Hot Rod Magazine in July 2007.  All
the racers, young and old, know they need to be
on their 'A' game when lining up against him.
Brian has owned his 1970 Duster since
December 2006.  At that time it only
needed seat belts and a neutral safety
switch, but went over a complete
make-over anyway (

restoration page).  The motor was a 340
that ran 11.80's at 113mph, but was
switched out to a 440 for the 2009
season.  It was the same motor BJ won
points with back in 1996.

Brian doesn't have the years of
experience with the same car, but he has
dragged street cars and dune buggies
since 16 years of age.  The 2010 season
will be his first in points and he hopes to
do well.
